About me

Prior to beginning my art conservation journey, I was a professional ballet dancer for nine years. After retiring from ballet, I began my art conservation journey!
I graduated summa cum laude from Walsh University (North Canton, OH) with a BA in Museum Studies and minors in Chemistry, Art History, and Art. My Museum Studies capstone focused on developing a disaster plan for the Plattsburgh State Art Museum in Plattsburgh, NY, while my Chemistry research project investigated the Oddy test by examining materials commonly used around museum collections.
Following graduation, I continued as a research assistant for Dr. Peter Tandler (Chemistry Professor at Walsh University) on Oddy testing. In March, 2023, I gave an oral presentation at Pittcon Conference and Exposition titled What Can Damage Museum Collections: Using Headspace & Pyrolysis GC-MS to Identify Harmful Materials.
During my pre-program, I interned at ICA-Art Conservation in Cleveland, OH where I assisted in treatments of paintings, frames, and objects as well as preventive conservation. I also had object conservation pre-program internships at the Toledo Museum of Art and the Williamstown and Atlanta Art Conservation Center.
In August 2024, I enrolled in the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation (WUDPAC) where I learned about the examination, documentation, analysis, treatment, and preventive care of a wide range of materials from photographs to furniture during my first year of study. I declared paintings conservation as a major in May 2025 and I spent that summer at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. working with Molly Hughes-Hallett and Brianna Weakley on thread-by-thread tear mending treatment.
